1. Core Privacy Philosophy

At Wholist, your private notes and bookmarks are sacred. We believe that your curation of inspiring creators and thinkers should remain your private intellectual sanctuary.

2. Information We Collect (and What We Don’t)

Here is an open, transparent breakdown of how your data is handled:

• Saved People & Notes: When you save a creator or write a note, that data is stored in the service database under your account. The extension keeps pending offline saves in browser storage until they can sync. We never analyze, sell, or monetize your notes.
• Account Information: An account is required for your synced library. We store your email address, display name and password hash for authentication and account management.
• Zero Browsing History Tracking: The browser extension only interacts with supported pages to identify profiles and posts and display save controls. Content is sent to your library when you save it. We do not collect a history of other sites you browse.
• Payments: When billing is enabled, Stripe processes payment details. Wholist stores the provider customer identifier and subscription access state; it does not store your full card number.

3. Storage & Security

Library requests are scoped to your signed-in account. Pending saves use extension browser storage and are separated by account. This storage is not end-to-end encrypted. The save dialog uses Shadow DOM for style isolation; Shadow DOM is not a security or encryption boundary.

4. 1-Click Export and Complete Deletion Rights

You have full control over your data. At any time, you can:

• Export 100% of your bookmarked creators, tags, and notes in standard JSON format.
• Permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data with immediate effect.
